NEW - SHIP'S DIARY

So, you've come out, you've left your wife and you've been made redunant from your job.  What next?

For me in 2003 I decided to run away to sea.  Hoping for a truly gay experience I joined a big cruise line as one of their Entertainments Officers.

Like any good wannabe Robinson Crueso I made sure to maintain a journal and I present a first instalment here.

My partner and I really enjoyed reading this blog post, I was just itching to know do you trade featured posts? I am always trying to find someone to make trades with and merely thought I would ask.

Great post. I have a nephew that signed up as an entertainer with Carnival earlier this year. He's was a pianist with the Show Band and has three cruises under his belt. Not sure when, or if, he'll be doing another one.

We'd actually set up a blog for him to tell about his experience. I was hoping he'd do much like you did here, but writing isn't his forte and he rarely posted entries.

BTW; I took a cruise in the late 60s on the S.S. Oriana from Cologne, thru the Panama Canal, and up to San Pedro, CA. I can't imagine it would be the same Oriana that you crewed on. Not sure what cruise line that ship was with.

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!

RE: Trading Posts. Hi Anon, I have no issue with material produced here being quoted elsewhere, just so long as you do so with approrpiate credits and links back to Lately Gay as well as letting me know you want to do that. Thanks, SM!
